This silver coin button is one of my favorites. I call it "Liberty at the Anvil" because it depicts a goddess-like woman hammering at an anvil with a smoking volcano in the background. In Greek mythology, Aphrodite, the goddess of beauty was married to Hefaestus the ugly god of the forge. Their stormy marriage symbolizes the union of art and industry. As a metalsmith and admirer of beautiful goddesses, I feel a personal connection with the image on this coin. 5/8" this coin button is available in larger sizes. 25 buttons on hand
This button is also available in 13/16" and 1 1/16" sizes.
